About the Fortuna de los Muertos game
Fortuna de los Muertos is a five-reel, four-row video slot from Spinomenal inspired by Día de los Muertos, the colourful Mexican Day of the Dead celebration. The game uses between 10 and 100 adjustable paylines, allowing players to select how many lines they want to activate. Several RTP configurations are available, ranging from 88.08% to 95.44%, so the exact return can depend on the casino version and should be checked in the in-game paytable. The maximum win reaches 1,000x the total bet. Its main special symbols are a Stacked Wild and a Scatter.
Game Mechanics and Features
Winning combinations are created by landing matching symbols across active paylines. Because Fortuna de los Muertos allows between 10 and 100 paylines to be selected, players can adjust the number of active winning patterns before spinning.
The Wild symbol can substitute for regular paying symbols to help complete winning combinations, but it does not replace the Scatter. Wilds can also appear stacked, covering several positions on a reel and potentially contributing to multiple paylines during the same spin.
The Scatter symbol pays independently of standard paylines when enough matching Scatters appear anywhere on the reels. Five Scatter symbols can award up to 1,000x the total bet, representing the highest listed payout in the game. Fortuna de los Muertos keeps its gameplay relatively straightforward and does not rely on a complex collection system or multiple layered bonus rounds. Instead, its mechanics focus on adjustable paylines, Stacked Wilds, Scatter payouts, and traditional reel-based wins.
Theme, Appearance and Mobile Play
Fortuna de los Muertos uses a distinctive Mexican festival theme filled with imagery associated with the Day of the Dead. The symbols include decorated skulls, candles, colourful characters, and other festive details inspired by the celebration. Bright colours and elaborate artwork give the game a lively appearance rather than a dark or frightening atmosphere.
The soundtrack complements the Mexican setting, while the clear reel layout keeps symbols and winning combinations easy to recognise. Spinomenal officially supports mobile play, allowing Fortuna de los Muertos to run on compatible smartphones and tablets as well as desktop devices.
With its 5×4 layout, selectable 10–100 paylines, Stacked Wilds, Scatter payouts, and maximum win of 1,000x the total bet, Fortuna de los Muertos may appeal to players who enjoy visually distinctive slots with simple mechanics and a culturally inspired theme.
