About the Christmas Catch game
The Christmas Catch online slot is one of Big Time Gaming's latest Christmas-themed creations, released in December 2023. The game uses the developer's well-known Megaways™ mechanic, so every spin offers a different layout and different winning opportunities. The winter holiday atmosphere is not just a backdrop here – it is an integral part of the gameplay, offering a new experience even for those who have played countless holiday slot machines before.
The game has 6 reels and the number of rows changes dynamically from 2 to 7, giving you an impressive 117,649 ways to win. The RTP rate is 96.53%, which is well above the industry average. The volatility is high, so it is not characterized by frequent small wins, but rather by rarer, but much more significant hits. This type of game is mainly suitable for those who are patient and willing to wait for truly outstanding winnings.
Theme and features
Christmas Catch is a classic, lovable Christmas-themed slot machine, set in Santa's workshop – or rather a snowy fairy-tale world. The visuals are perfectly suited to the festive season: snowflakes are falling, Christmas trees are decorated, and of course Santa's sleigh also appears in the game's special features.
The reels feature various festive symbols: decorated Christmas stockings, gift boxes, candy canes, stars, and classic card values (9, 10, J, Q, K, A) with a festive design. The Wild symbol helps to form winning combinations by substituting for all other symbols (except for the scatter).
Bonus features and prizes
The main attraction of Christmas Catch is the free spins round, which can be activated by spinning three or more scatter symbols. The scatter is a decorative Christmas gift box, and you need at least three to start. The number of spins is determined by the number of scatters, and the feature can be reactivated, resulting in longer gameplay and greater winning potential.
During the free spins, one of the most spectacular elements of the game comes into play: Santa's sleigh, which flies across the reels. This feature is not just a visual trick, but an active part of the gameplay. The sleighs collect the gift symbols that appear on the reels and apply their corresponding values and multipliers to the winnings.
The maximum prize is 31,430 times the bet, which offers lucky players a truly exceptional opportunity. This figure is particularly tempting when you consider that this is not a progressive jackpot game, but a traditional slot machine with fixed prizes.
